CANNED VEGETABLES AND FRUIT

One of the keys to good eating is to extend the life of those natural products without losing their properties. Conserves are one of the major achievements of the Spanish food industry which offer us fruits in their own juice or in “almibar” (sugar syrup), and vegetables of all types and in multiple formats (raw, lightly cooked, in brine, or dressed). Canned vegetables preserve their properties intact, almost as if they had just been picked from the garden. In Spain there are ten DOP/IGP of canned vegetables.
